General Cohort

No in-person RECI learning cohorts are available at this time

RECI creates space for honest reflection, engaging learning and collective dialogue. Through a critical systems thinking approach, participants explore the deep structures that sustain racism and consider how we might shift them together. Join us for an ongoing practice of learning, sharing and community building.

Participants can look forward to:

  • Thought-provoking sessions that deepen understanding of systemic racism
  • Opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences with colleagues across Pitt and the wider community
  • Collaborative exploration of strategies to advance racial equity in everyday contexts
  • Space to build authentic relationships in a supportive learning community
  • Shared meals and refreshments to sustain conversation, plus RECI materials and swag to carry the work forward

RECI Learning Community Cohort participants will earn a participation badge by:

  • Attending at least 6 to 7 sessions (85% attendance)
  • Signing-in via e-sign/sign-in sheet for each session attended
  • Completing badge of participation form after final cohort session
  • Badges will be awarded at the conclusion of the cohort via Accredible
